PAS 2024 Land Acknowledgement Statement
PAS would like to take a moment to acknowledge the land we are gathering, connecting, and learning on for PAS 2024 as the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississauga’s of the Credit, the Anishinaabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples, and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississauga’s of the Credit. As Pediatricians, Researchers, Professors, and more, we are first and foremost caretakers and we honor the original caretakers of this land and its people.
